Celebrating a Remarkable Woman – Happy Birthday, Leatha Lamison White!

Join us in joyfully celebrating the birthday of an extraordinary woman, Leatha Lamison
White, a proud daughter of Courtland and Southampton County, Virginia!

Born into a legacy of love and strength, Leatha is the beloved daughter of Winget Lamison
and Beatrice Barnes Lamison, and the cherished granddaughter of Rhea Mae Blow Barnes
and Langston Barnes. Like so many in the Barnes Blow family, her childhood was rooted in
faith, family, and fellowship, spending Sundays after church gathered at Mama Rhea’s
home, filled with laughter, play, and unforgettable moments at Mama Rhea’s Farm.

Leatha stands as a shining example of discipline, determination, passion, and vision. A
proud graduate of Norfolk State University, she has remained a dedicated supporter of her
alma mater, even establishing a scholarship to uplift and empower African American
students. Her commitment to education and community reflects a life lived with purpose
and generosity.

After a distinguished career, she retired from the United States Census Bureau, leaving
behind a legacy of service and excellence. Today, she enjoys her well-earned retirement in
Richmond, Virginia.

She is also a treasured sister to Lillian, Marie, Edna (Peaches), Doretha, Leon, Roland (Baby
Lee), Arthur Lee, and Cleveland Lamison—each relationship a thread in the beautiful fabric
of her life.

On this special day, May 5th, we celebrate not just her birthday, but her impact, her legacy,
and the love she continues to share with all who know her.

Happy Birthday, Leatha! Your life is a blessing, your legacy is inspiring, and your light
continues to shine brightly. Help us wish her a happy birthday.

With love and admiration,
The Barnes Blow Family
